Cucker-Smale Flocking Under Hierarchical Leadership and Random Interactions
نویسندگان
چکیده
Consider a flock of birds that fly interacting between them. The interactions are modelled through a hierarchical system in which each bird, at each time step, adjusts its own velocity according to his past velocity and a weighted mean of the relative velocities of its superiors in the hierarchy. We consider the additional fact, that each of the birds can fail to see any of its superiors with certain probability, that can depend on the distances between them. For this model with random interactions we prove that the flocking phenomena, obtained for similar deterministic models, holds true. Cucker--Smale Flocking under Hierarchical Leadership
A mathematical theory on flocking serves the foundation for several ubiquitous multi-agent phenomena in biology, ecology, sensor networks, economy, as well as social behavior like language emergence and evolution. Directly inspired by the recent fundamental works of Cucker and Smale on the construction and analysis of a generic flocking model, we study the emergent behavior of Cucker-Smale floc...
متن کاملCucker-Smale flocking with alternating leaders
We study the emergent flocking behavior in a group of Cucker-Smale flocking agents under rooted leadership with alternating leaders. It is well known that the network topology regulates the emergent behaviors of flocks. All existing results on the Cucker-Smale model with leader-follower topologies assume a fixed leader during temporal evolution process. The rooted leadership is the most general...
متن کاملA hydrodynamic model for the interaction of Cucker–Smale particles and incompressible fluid
We present a new hydrodynamic model for the interactions between collision-free Cucker–Smale flocking particles and a viscous incompressible fluid. Our proposed model consists of two hydrodynamic models. For the Cucker–Smale flocking particles, we employ the pressureless Euler system with a non-local flocking dissipation, whereas for the fluid, we use the incompressible Navier–Stokes equations....
متن کاملLocal Sensitivity Analysis for the Cucker-smale Model with Random Inputs
We present pathwise flocking dynamics and local sensitivity analysis for the Cucker-Smale(C-S) model with random communications and initial data. For the deterministic communications, it is well known that the C-S model can model emergent local and global flocking dynamics depending on initial data and integrability of communication function. However, the communication mechanism between agents ...
متن کاملOn Collision-avoiding Initial Configurations to Cucker-smale Type Flocking Models
Abstract. We present a class of initial-configurations for the Cucker-Smale flocking type models leading no finite-time collisions between particles. For this class of initial-configurations, the global existence of smooth solutions to the Cucker-Smale model with singular communication weights is established. This also generalizes the earlier flocking estimates for the Cucker-Smale type models ...
